I am Mark Loren, I grew up in Butler, Pennsylvania. I joined the Army at 18 where I was a tank driver four years finishing my enlistment as a sergeant.
I then attended Penn State University where I joined the R.O.T.C. and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science. I’ve spent 28 years in the Army, most of it in the Reserves to include deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. I’m now a retired Major volunteering at the V.A. hospital and writing books.
My first book was published in April 2021. I am a hooked writer, and I enjoy it very much because I’ve been an avid reader my whole life. I live in west-central Florida where I have based my first books.
My friend, Boyd Craven Jr is my cowriter and publisher.
My exceptional wife Susan and mother of our two adult children is also my co-writer, and editor, we met in the army over 30 years ago, she happily supports my passion for storytelling.
